Full-grain buffalo leather, thick enough to actually protect an edge, not just look the part. Eleven individual slots hold knives up to 14", each one cut to keep blades separated so they don't dull each other in transit, plus a zippered pouch for spoons, tongs, or whatever else doesn't have its own slot.
Rolls closed and secures with two brass buckles, with a leather flap that covers the blade tips completely before you roll it. The handle on top is for carrying it flat or from a bag; the adjustable shoulder strap detaches when you don't need it.
Rolled up, it's 20" x 5.5" — compact enough for a knife bag or a locker, not something that takes over your kit.
This is buffalo leather, so expect some grain variation and a color that deepens with handling. For something that's getting used daily in a working kitchen, that's the leather aging the way it's supposed to, not wearing out.
